The FAMI-QS (certification of the system of additives for animal feed and premixes) is a standard that addresses the food safety, regulatory and quality objectives defined in the European Animal Feed Regulations. The purpose of this certification is to guide covered manufacturers and merchants and help them develop their own procedures to minimize food safety risks related to additives and premixes. Used as a legal compliance tool, FAMI-QS is recognized by the European Commission, local authorities, but also by customers, and is seen as a sign of a proactive approach to animal feed safety and quality.
